Living the dream for a day! (except for the 2 hours on my phone) (OFIW)

Yesterday was magic – 3 wonderful Boodaville volunteers, me and the kids, all in the vineyard with sun, a bag full of picnic and pruning shears. The photos tell the story!

Seeing my children out in nature for the day fills my heart to the brim. Kira was great at pruning, battling her worries about spiders, spotting a snake in the rocks, and because nature is never mundane.. even the repetative job of pruning is interspersed with grasshopper sightings, weird insect cocoons, the learning that you don’t know you are learning – seeing the sap dripping out of healthy stems, learning to predict which stems are already dead and which are the strongest.

Joanna is at the perfect age for imaginative play with gravel and pots, and bouncing, and seeing everyone around her relaxed,

In the backgound of all this, there are some huge decisions, realities and non-realities flying around. I am absolutely stuck and lost about the world of marketing. There are so many words and ideas and quotes for thousands of euros and people getting paid to do things like “communication strategy” and even just instagram, that I don’t really understand.

There are things in my path that I see very clearly – how to get stuff done, how to manage the accouting, answers to specific questions. How to teach, how to mentor, who to ask for help in what, and how to connect and strengthen local networks. (Like for example the video I made yesterday about the amazing world of indicators.. bringing together the knowledge of Xavi from Arnes who taught us some incredible ideas, with the conversation with Juan Mulet in Calaceite who told me the UAGA are going to organise a course in Matarranya about this!)

Then there is this world where I don’t see things clearly. So I guess we need a better vision for how to share what we are doing with the world, and invite people to support us in our goals.

I just want everyone to be able to enjoy days like yesterday.
