This project was about promoting live music, developing music technology skills, fostering inclusion, and creating opportunities for young professionals in Barcelona
The project team participated in live concert recordings at Sol de Sants studios and Apolo in collaboration with Furious Content. This provided hands-on experience in sound engineering, live recording, equipment setup, event production, and teamwork, while helping them build a professional portfolio.
In March at the Permaculture Barcelona Hub Alfred Decker led a training to provide tools for creating welcoming and accessible environments for people from diverse cultural, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Because of this project people from across the city, as well as the music professionals involved could access this training. The feedback was fantastic, it was great to work with Austin again, who promoted the training and collected that feedback!
Applying these new skills for creating inclusive events, the team co-organised a mini-festival, which showcased local musicians and sound engineers. They were involved in all aspects of the event; sound technology, promotion, managins the space and the program, and recording.
The final event related to this project was an open sharing circle at NEST city lab. Boodaville and the team participated in Good Deed Saturday and heard from a wide range of professionals, made new connections and shared all we know about how to benefit from these types of funded projects!
